Directions to enable the Italian keyboard on your PC
(Windows XP directions):
To add another
keyboard layout on a PC
- Open
Regional and Language Options in Control
Panel.
- On the Languages tab, under Text services and input
languages, click Details.
- Under Installed services, click Add.
- In the Input language list, click the language for the
keyboard layout or
you want to add.
- Select the Keyboard layout/IME check box, if multiple options
are available, and then click a service in the list.
If Keyboard Layout/IME is the only type of
available, click an option in that list.
Notes
- To open Regional and Language Options, click Start,
click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and
Language Options.
- There may be only one keyboard layout for some languages.
- To add an IME, you must have installed it on your computer first.
Directions to enable the Italian keyboard
on your Mac
(directions are for OS 10;
for OS 9 you may have to follow slightly different steps):
Click the Apple Icon (upper left corner)
Choose "System Preferences"
"International" "Input"
then scroll down and check "Italian Pro". A US
flag appears on the upper left side, when you click on it, the Italian flag
appears, click on it and you have the Italian keyboard layout. You can
switch between the two layouts any time you want.
